WELLS – With great interest is tonight in Putten again the raid in October 1944 commemorated. Wells walked out en masse for the memorial service at the monument to the main street and the good weather here was certainly no obstacle.
Mayor Henk Lambooij put together with his first wife a wreath at the monument, followed by Jannes Priem behalf of the returnees and representatives of associations and institutions. Son and grandson of Jacob returned from Wincoop laid a wreath. The schools took part in the wreath laying again, this time by Esther van Beek and Kimberley Rosendal from group eight of primary school De Akker. They laid a wreath on behalf of all students Putten. The schools in Wells Friday had already discussed the raid, when the students an informative program afwerkten, that led, among other things along the memorial space and the monument Woman Wells.
